Lazarus + Firebird + ZIBEventAlerter

HI.
I'm develping an application than runs on a lan, with several users.
I'm using Firebird and Zeos components.
The application registers calls from customers. I want to keep updated
all work stations on lan. My first approach was to use TIdleTimer and
refresh the query at interval. Tis works well, but I need antoher
thing.

I read about Firebird events and TZIBEventAlerter, but I can't do work
it. I read this

but it doesn't work in Lazarus. An exception occurs always I do  Code:
[Select]Register
Anybody has the solution?

Hi Mando, events with Zeos version 6.6.6 stable has a little problem
but works with a patch, I had the same problems but I can say that
works for linux and windows too, check the next link:

At bottom there is a file named: ZEOS_Demos.zip, download and check
events, into that folder there is a patch for events unit, replace
that and compile again zeos package in Lazarus.

Thanks for your response, but I have not been able to find the patch
in Zeos_demo.zip file. In fact, the example doesn't work. It raises
the same error.

I found the error. It's the protocol I use. It is 2.1, and the
ZIBEventAlerter code only arrive to 2.0.
If I change the protocol in the example and in my application from 2.1
to 2.0, it's works properly.

But, ¿Where is that patch?

Another question: is there any way of knowing which user triggered
event?
