Unable to use a TMemDataSet in a DBLookupComboBox

Hi

Using Lazarus 0.28.2, I have created a MemDataset and its Datasource
(DataSource2), and populated it at run-time.

In the object explorer, I have defined 2 string FieldDefs (code and
name) for this DataSet.

I'd like to use it as a ListSource of a DBLookupComboBox.
I have had to code this, since no field is visible in the object
explorer, and Field.Name doesn't work :

Code: [Select]DBComboBox1.ListDataSource := DataSource2 ;
DBLookupComboBox1.KeyField := DataSource2.Dataset.FieldDefs[0].Name; 
 
DBLookupComboBox1.ListField := DataSource2.Dataset.FieldDefs[1].Name; 

I see the expected items in ComboBox List, but when after I select one
nothing is displayed in the edit box. When values are already present
in the database, visible on a DBText, nothing is displayed. And if I
set the style to csDropDown or csSimple, my entries are not stored.

Of course, I have no problem with a TEdit or with another List
DataSet.


What can be wrong ?
Do you know about some issues with MemDataSet in this area ?

Locate function are not implemented in TMemDataSet. Try to use
TRxMemoryData from RxLib instead of.
