New to SQLite as database lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BertH · 2010-07-14 19:22 In the process of learning to use Lazarus for developing some hobby projects I used dBase so far. Reading through the documentation it appears to me that SQLite might be a "nicer" database to use because all information is contained in one single file. I used one of my working exercises with dBase to translate that into using SQLite. I run into many difficulties and would love to have a "demo" project so I could find out how the interface to SQLite works. I tried to use the info from the SQLite documentation in Lazarus but that only resulted in errors like "unknown" expression etc. What do you recommend for documentation and/os project examples. Bert This page http://source.online.free.fr/ has all you need to begin using SQLite databases with Lazarus/FreePascal. Be sure to look at the database samples as well as the SQLite Administrator GUI program that manages SQLite databases. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LuizAmérico · 2010-07-14 22:07 Try also http://sqlite4fpc.yolasite.com/documentation.php ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BertH · 2010-07-15 09:39 JD and Luiz, Thank you for your replies. It gives me a lot of information to read and experiment. It will keep me busy for a while.
