tbase(dbf) and macosX

hello

i can use functions : the dbase.filter , dbase.searchkey ..on lazarus
0,9,28,2 and SnowLeopard

when i put
dbase.filter:=db1.filter('myfield='+'nametrim'+'*' ); , all the
database is filtered (nothing to see in a grid component ,all the
records disapear)

or if i put in the ide lazarus , in the component inspector for dbf1 ,
the filter field to

name='f*' for filter the database on the field 'name' and a beginning
of the name to 'f' , all the record where out..

in i put only name='*' all the records appear , and it is normal...

also ,i dont' find any doc about dbase.searchkey (or sarchkeyPchar)
syntax ...

have you an example ?

i also try sql component and to many bugs...
