How to define line in DBGrid? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cpalx · 2010-03-09 16:31 do you mean, calculate like =A2+A3??? if you want that, you can not do it with dbgrid, but maybe lazreport can help you ... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mathio · 2010-03-09 16:39 yes...A2+A3 for example. What is lazreport??? please...im beginner in programing ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zoran · 2010-03-09 17:50 No... you cannot do it with DBGrid. You could do it in Grid (not DBGrid) programmaticaly, but it's far from basic programming task... And I would not recommend you to start now with LazReport to acomplish this task. I do not want to discourage you, though, I don't know how far have you come with your learning to program... If you do know Pascal language basics and basic GUI programming with Lazarus, you might be ready to jump to understanding Grids. If you are interested in databases, you should learn about relational data bases, like MySQL or Firebird, then SQL language syntax and only then your next step is learning how to use DB's in Lazarus. Anyway, do not expect to create Excel-like programs soon. There is a long way for someone who is beginner in programming, as you say you are. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jesusr · 2010-03-09 18:19 btw, the link about the grids is an old version, the up to date version is http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Grids_Reference_Page ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mathio · 2010-03-09 19:44 I want to create a simple drawing program. should contain entries in the table and drawing area.
