Firebird Parameters converted into question mark

Hello
I'm using :
- Lazarus version 0.9.28.2
- FPC 2.2.4
- Firebird 2.1
- Ubuntu 9.10
- TIBConnection, TSQLQuery, TSQLTransaction

when I'm trying to create/alter firebird stored procedured, the
parameters are converted to question mark.
For example when I execute this code use TSQL Query:
Code: [Select]ALTER PROCEDURE INSERTNAME(
  USERNAME    VARCHAR(20)
)
AS
BEGIN
  insert into one (AName) values (:UserName);
END


after excuting and viewing the procedure again I get this on procedure
body :

Code: [Select]  insert into one (AName) values (?);

Is it Ok to use IB component with Firebird 2.1? or I should use
another component

I think the problem is that Query consider any text starts with : as a
parameter
so how to persuade Query to not to convert :UserName to a parameter
value?

I found the solution.
I used IBConnect.ExecuteDirect instead of using TSQLQuery:

Code: [Select]      IBConnection1.ExecuteDirect(QueryPart);
