Datasource only lists None???

I've been building an application, using MySQL and ZEOS.

I have one form with all my datasources and queryies/tables.

From my other forms, I've been adding uses the db_connections form. 
This has worked no problem, however all of a sudden, I just tried
adding a new form, and a new dbedit on the form.  The datasource for
that dbedit only lists "none" and I don't know why.  I've also checked
with the other forms, and they have the datasources listed, but the
dropdowns only list "none" also. 

this is scaring me, since I've invested a lot of time, and I don't
want to restart from scratch.

Any ideas as to why ALL my datasources are not connecting to my
db_connections form anymore, even though the uses clause is still
there and the project inspector shows the dependencies?

Well, I had to create a new form, copied all the datasources, and
queries/tables, repointed every data control and it seems to work ok,
but although I removed the old db_connection form from the project and
I deleted the associated files, the datasource for each dbedit still
lists none and then all the datasources from the new form.
