TSQLTransacion.Action property not implemented ? lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LacaK · 2009-10-02 12:07 If I am not wrong, It seems, that Action property of TSQLTransaction object has absolute no effect and is not used in code ? What is goal of such property ? What it means ? - action at end of transaction ? (delphi has also similar property, which works together with other property IdleTimer ... after specified time of inactivity is automagicaly performed Action on transaction) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Loesje · 2009-10-03 21:39 It should define the action which is performed when you call .endtransaction ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LacaK · 2009-10-05 05:52 So now, EndTransaction is implemented as: procedure TSQLTransaction.EndTransaction; begin   rollback; end; When we can change it somehow like: procedure TSQLTransaction.EndTransaction; begin  case FAction of   caCommit: Commit;   caCommitRetaining: CommitRetaining;   caRollbackRetaining: RollbackRetaining;   else Rollback;  end; end; Or if we consider, that EndTransaction is called only on disconnect, then only Commit or Rollback can be called. But I have another idea. What if specified Action will be performed automaticaly after ApplyUpdates call ? I think, that common usage is ApplyUpdates and Commit together. -Laco.
