LazDataDesktop lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tatamata · 2009-09-22 13:11 What is "LazDataDesktop" and where to find it? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- davesimplewear · 2009-09-23 01:20 Go to lazarus/tools/lazdatadesktop/ and compile the project, when you have done that click on Tool-datadesktop and you will be asked if you want to find it, navigate to the project folder and click on the executable and you will be up and running. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- yrogerg · 2024-01-24 14:46 I am relatively new to Lazarus.  I am trying to implement lazdatadesktop but I cannot find it at lazarus/tools/lazdatadesktop. I am using Lazarus 3.0, Date:  2024-01-06, FPC Version 3.2.2,  Revision: Unversioned directory. x86_64-linux-gtk.  My OS is Linux Mint Debian Edition 6.0. I would appreciate any recommendations. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wp · 2024-01-24 15:14 LazDataDesktop is a utility to study existing databases. Its sources can be found in folder "tools/lazdatadesktop" of your Lazarus installation. In Linux, this normally is in a non-writable folder (e.g. in /usr/share/). Simply copy the lazdatadesktop folder into your home directory. Then load the lazdatadesktop.lpi project into the IDE and compile it. But be warned: The lazdatadesktop compiled with FPC 3.2.2 is rather buggy, I recommend to use FPC-Fixes or FPC-Main.
