DBImageCombo or how to mask values

Hi,

in delphi i used to take an DBImageCombobox to show and select certain
"values" as descriptive text.

E.g.
You select "female" or "male" in a DBImageCombobox but get the value
"0"/"F" for female and "1"/"M" for male.
When DB is read DBImageCombobox shows female or male when DB has the
values "0"/"F" or "1"/"M".

Now i couldn't find an DBimageCombobox in Lazarus and I would like to
know how you do come around this?
Maybe is there an other control, or do you use SetText and GetText
from the fields or something else?
