need some database guidance

I've got a few Delphi/Paradox apps I've developed over the years and
would really like to port those over to my Mac. 

In reading all the related posts it looks like at this time Paradox is
read only.  Is anyone working on this?

It also looks like going to MySql is not an option on the Mac but I
could install Linux on my Mac and proceed.  Maybe not the best option.

Reading the database wiki I see Sql lite as an option but under
"supported platforms" it only says "-"  not sure what that means.

Any guidance/suggestions on an efficient way to proceed would be
greatly appreciated.
