How do i make a application with a database?

Dear Frends

I just download Lazarus and try make my fisrt application. I was
programming already with Visual Fox Pro, PHP and Postgres.  Now, I
wanna learn how to build a form with a header and a Grid (For example
a invoice ), extracting data from a data server like postgres. Saving,
updating  and deleting this data.

How do I make it?
Could you give me some ideas ?
Any links, that them help me?
