DBF Problem: dbf_common

I am new to Lazarus.  I put together a small program using forms and
dbf and was able to successfully read a dBase file into a DBgrid. 
Being easily amused I ran it a few times in a row from the IDE using
the green arrow icon.  The third time it would not run and I got an
error message:
dbf.pas(7,2) Fatal: Can't open include file "dbf_common.inc"
The offending line says: {$I dbf_common.inc }

I didn't change anything - honest!  I can't find dbf_common.inc
anywhere.  So my questions are
1) Any idea what happened?
2) How do I fix it?
3) Is it likely to happen again?

does this message apear when you compile, or when you run ?
