missing methods for TDbf? lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tatamata · 2008-12-24 06:04 Hi, I have noticed that some methods of TDbf (according to the TDbf pdf manual) are not available to me, although I have db, dbf and dbf_common in the uses clause. For example, EmptyTable is not available. Why? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Loesje · 2008-12-27 13:38 You do understand that EmptyTable is a method of TDbf? So you have to do ADbf.EmptyTable? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tatamata · 2008-12-27 21:14 Of course. But it is not there, as well as some other methods mentioned in TDbf manual.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2008-12-28 18:10 I drop a TDBF component on the form and put emptytables in an event handler. The following code compiles for me using fpc 2.2.2 on windows. I can't explain why you can't. Code: [Select]unit Unit1; {$mode objfpc}{$H+} interface uses   Classes, SysUtils, FileUtil, LResources, Forms, Controls, Graphics, Dialogs,   dbf; type   { TForm1 }   TForm1 = class(TForm)     Dbf1: TDbf;     procedure FormCreate(Sender: TObject);   private     { private declarations }   public     { public declarations }   end; var   Form1: TForm1; implementation { TForm1 } procedure TForm1.FormCreate(Sender: TObject); begin   Dbf1.EmptyTable; end; initialization   {$I unit1.lrs} end. And are you sure it's the compiler which is complaining, or only the code- completion?
