Firebird: "unknown field type:" lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bonmario · 2008-11-04 13:49 Hi at all, i have a problem with a table of a DB Firebird. Only with this table, when i search to read it, i have this error: Code: [Select]unknown field type: LIMITEINFERIORE. The field LIMITEINFERIORE is declared on the DB as "Decimal(16,5)" It's a bug? Thanks, Mario ---------------------------------------------------------------------- clauslack · 2009-05-05 01:05 With Lazarus 0.9.26.3 I have the same error. I report the error in the bugtracker http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=13652 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Loesje · 2009-05-05 18:55 The error explains it all: a decimal(16,5) type, what kind of TField is that? It's not a TCurrency/TBCD, because they have a maximum of 4 decimals. And it's not a float either... In fact it should be a tfmtbcd field, but that's not implemented yet. But the ftmbcd-type is implemented now, so maybe you can try to write a patch for this? Just look at packages/fcl-db/src/base/fields.inc...
