newbie needs help! ;-) lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MaVeRiCk2060 · 2008-10-11 19:33 Hi everybody, first of all: Thanks for this great community. It really is nice to see Pascal not dying after all. Now to my actual problem. Coming from TurboPascal without object-oriented programming I started after years of not coding and took lazarus. It is a great IDE. In the old times it was easy setting up Data to be written to a file. Now I would like to use an SQL Server AND get used to object oriented programming. I would like to know, if anyone here can give me a link or a book suggestion so that I can get into writing database software it would be great. I would be really happy. I can already connect to the database and read the contents, but I would also like to store new or update old information. Thanks in advance. Most of them (at least until Delphi 7) applies to Object Pascal supported by FPC. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MaVeRiCk2060 · 2008-10-15 17:08 Thanks you all. Those links are just what I was looking for. Now I can read into the material and get back to programming. Thanks alot. Maverick.
