ODBCcn Error Access Violation lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Pere · 2008-10-04 19:24 I have "Access Violation" error when I try to connect odbcconnection by unixodbc to remote MSSQLServer. The unixodbc connect correctly to remote server from OpenOffice. The odbcconnection: driver    MSSQLServer filedns   /etc/ODBCDataSources/MSSQLServer.dsn databasename   name host                 77.777.777.77 I tried databasename 77.777.777.77:/name host  blank but th error is the same. Lazarus 0.9.22 What I'm doing brong? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KOBOLD-Messring-GmbH · 2008-11-05 09:56 Hola, I have the same problem, each time trying to connect I encounter "access violation". But ¿you have setup a FILEDSN, ¿how have you made this? I only was able to establish SYSTEMDSN or USERDSN, but trying to setup a FILEDSN I encounter the message "could not construct a property list for (MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver)" very strange ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KOBOLD-Messring-GmbH · 2008-11-06 08:21 I have a solution found. If I tried to connect not in the object-inspector at design time but in my program at runtime I got a better error message: "cannot load libodbc.so" That is the unixODBC package installed a libodbc.so.1 file, but not the desired libodbc.so I put a symbolic link shell> ln -s /usr/lib/libodbc.so.1.0.0 /usr/lib/libodbc.so ¡¡¡ and it works !!! even in the object-inspector ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Pere · 2008-12-07 19:22 Solved!!! Thanks KOBOLD. I applied your solution and the odbceerror changed. Then, on the odbcconnection I cleared to blank Filedsn and included next Parameters: SERVER=myserver PORT=1433 DATABASE=mydatabase And it works fine!!
