TDBF and CDX or NTX... don't work... lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mateus7778 · 2007-09-26 12:10 HI!! I have such a BIG problem: I already have a (big/system) program using xHarbour with DBF+NTX, and another using DBF+CDX. How use an existing indexes in CDX or NTX???? I want to convert this to LAZARUZ+MYSQL, but slowly... So, for now, I want to use LAZARUS, MYSQL, DBF+NTX or CDX INDEXES  ... THANKS!! Mateus ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ssamayoa · 2007-09-26 12:51 AFAIK TDBF can handle both types of index (I guess just one on a time). What problems you have? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mateus7778 · 2007-09-26 13:09 I just need to use one of this indexes (CDX or NTX), and MYSQL. I tried hard too make this, using TDBF Tutorial, but I didn't have success... If I can use one a time, it's ok for me... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mateus7778 · 2007-09-26 13:10 Where I can found AFAIK TDBF? Isn't a native component from LAzarus? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ssamayoa · 2007-09-26 14:18 AFAIK = As Far As I Known TDBF is included in lazarus but has its own project page: http://tdbf.sourceforge.net Which lazarus version are using you? In which OS? Linux? Windows? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mateus7778 · 2007-09-26 16:29 AFAIK -> OK!!! Sorry for my english!! I'm Brazilian!! I'm using Windows XP. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ssamayoa · 2007-09-26 20:51 Can you send me a downsized copy of some of your dbf tables (with its index(es) files(s)) to see what is the problem? Send to sergiosamayoa -at- icon /dot/ com %dot% gt Regards. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ssamayoa · 2007-09-27 14:51 Sorry for bad information, TDBF support Clipper and FoxPro TABLES but doesn't support CDX nor NTX indexes, just NDX and MDX file indexes. I take a look at the sources and writing support for such indexes will be hard because it is spaguetti code. You can still read the DBF files with TDBF but without index. And I check on xHarbour and just support NTX and CDX... what a mess! Regards. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mateus7778 · 2007-09-27 15:10 Anyway,  I'll try to find a way to use NDX or MDX index on xHarbour... I heard it once....   it's my last hope!!!    Thank you, Bro!
