Fields Editor?

I've done some searching and found several posts about this, but have
not been able to figure out for sure if I will be able to use a fields
editor.  I'm running on Ubuntu 7.04.  On the daily snapshots page it
looks like there are no downloads that include fpc-src 2.1.5 for
Linux.  Is that right?  From what I've read I need fpc 2.1.5 in order
to use the fields editor.

You are right, there are no fpc 2.1.5 Lazarus snapshots for Linux.

I'm not sure what this question means.  If you are asking if I am
planning on creating the fields editor, no, I'm not.  I just mean I
can quit trying to figure out if there is a version of Lazarus/FPC for
Linux that will include the fields editor.

Yes, I am planning to make them, but it has low priority, because for
Lazarus testing having a snapshot with the latest fpc release is good
enough.

So, don't expect it soon.

You can rather wait for the fpc 2.2.0 release. After that the
snapshots based on fpc 2.0.4 will be replaced by snapshots based on
fpc 2.2.0.

I think it's due in September after the 2-3 months beta AFAIK ?
