As you know Microsoft changes the way of application development for
databases.

How do you see the future about this?

Today I would not choose ADO as a database solution. There are plenty
of good, stable, multiplatform engines that work with Lazarus, such
as:

MySQL
PostgreSQL
SQLite
etc.
