Publish TDBDateTimePicker.Options?

I was trying to use TDBDateTimePicker as a field editor for TDBGrid
columns. During that effort, I  noticed that TDBDateTimePicker does
not have a published Options property like its non-database-aware
counterpart.

I modified DateTimeCtrls to publish it. I tested it with no apparent
issues - including firing OnChange (works just like the regular
version).

My question is... was this omission intentional? I know these controls
have been around for a while, and that there may have been a reason
for it. I found no forum posts or google results which are of any
help.

Anyone have any insight?
