Error 'External: SIGSEGV' after upgrade from 2.0.12 to 2.2.4 lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dodo1977 · 2022-12-31 10:55 Last week I upgraded my Lazarus 2.0.12 version to 2.2.4. Ever since one of my projects returns a 'External: SIGSEGV' error on a TSQLQuery.Open statement. I'm writing 'a', because this piece of code is called 3 times, 2 times without issue but the third time with an error. Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i procedure TPAVEMoneyDataObject.LoadFromDatabase;begin  if FOwnsTransaction and FTransaction.Active then    FTransaction.CommitRetaining;  if not FTransaction.Active then    FTransaction.StartTransaction;  if FDataQuery.Active then    FDataQuery.Close;   FDataQuery.Prepare;  FDataQuery.ParamByName(GetPrimaryKeyName).AsInteger := FPrimaryKey;  FDataQuery.Open;   // <= SIGEGV ERROR HERE  if FDataQuery.Eof then    FDataQuery.Insert;end;  FDataQuery is a TSQLQuery, which links to a Firebird remote database using TIBConnection. I don't even know where to start with debugging here. I traced the code and the first call is identical to the third call, but still the third call fails. This is a very old piece of code (survived many Lazarus upgrades ) and part of a complex programme, which runs fine in 2.0.12! I even installed 2.0.12 again, alongside to 2.2.4, and it still runs perfectly. The release notes for 2.2.0 do not mention anything has changed in database components. I'm at a complete loss here... Does anyone know what in the upgrade to 2.2.4 might have changed that could lead to this error? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dodo1977 · 2023-01-01 15:28 After some more Googling and digging, still no solution, but I found out how to see debug info from the stack. Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i #0 IBCONNEC TION$_$TIBCONNECTION_$__$$_SETPARAMETERS$TSQLCURSOR$TSQLTRANSACTION$TP ARAMS+262 at :0 Not a clue how to read it though  It's been popping up in other places in the same project and as far as I can tell, it happens when the same record is being requested in short order. The SQL statement is quite simple, it's select * from table where id = X.
