MS SQL Server 2019 with ODBC and nvarchar(max)

Hi

I am using Lazarus 2.2.2 on Windows 10 to connect to a MS SQL2019
server via ODBC. Everything works except that all fields in the db of
type nvarchar(max) return empty strings when accessed via
FieldByName('xxx').AsString.

Anybody know how to get past this.

Does ordinal Field-access work?
What is your SELECT looking like?

There is already fix https://gitlab.com/freepascal.org/fpc/source/-
/commit/3fa35f258b7b0d5049f6f7b5c55c029f72b2eb1a
but it will be released in future FPC version.
