[Solved] SQLite examples error compiling. lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- vdubeau · 2022-08-08 13:13 I would really like to use FPC and Lazarus. I tried compiling the DBLookup example and got the following error: idewindowintf.pas(26,3) Fatal: Cannot find IDEOptionsIntf used by IDEWindowIntf, incompatible ppu=/Applications/Lazarus/components/build intf/units/x86_64-darwin/ideoptionsintf.ppu, multiple packages: BuildIntf, IDEIntf I am mainly interested in developing desktop apps which usually have a database component. System config: 2013 Imac OSX Catalina 3.4 GHz i5 24 GB memory Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thaddy · 2022-08-08 13:52 Couple of remarks about Catalina: 1. Is 64 bit only, so you will need a 64 bit FPC and Lazarus 2. Does not support Carbon, so you can not use the Carbon widget set. 3. Catalina has only support for security updates. What versions are you using for both FPC and Lazarus and which widget set? That is really important information to help you. Normally, running Sqlite is not a problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- vdubeau · 2022-08-08 21:36 I'm using the latest 64-bit version of both FPC and Lazarus. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PierceNg · 2022-08-09 02:03 Instead of trying to run Lazarus installed from the downloaded DMG, suggest you run from source. I have Lazarus running this way on Catalina. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- vdubeau · 2022-08-09 14:00 I tried the instructions on the above but I get the following error from git: fatal: repository 'https//github.com/fpc/Lazarus/branches/fixes_2_2' does not exist Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zvoni · 2022-08-09 14:08 Quote from: vdubeau on August 09, 2022, 04:00:42 pmI tried the instructions on the above but I get the following error from git: fatal: repository 'https//github.com/fpc/Lazarus/branches/fixes_2_2' does not exist Thanks i really, really doubt that this is the actual error- message.....(let's see who can spot it) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- vdubeau · 2022-08-09 17:30 why doubt copy and paste? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dsiders · 2022-08-09 17:42 Quote from: vdubeau on August 09, 2022, 07:30:48 pmwhy doubt copy and paste? Because, if that were truly a copy and paste, the colon would not be missing in the URL. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- vdubeau · 2022-09-12 17:09 I tried doing it agin. Apparently everything worked right this time.  The SQLite example compiled and worked. Thanks for the help guys. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Arioch · 2022-09-12 18:00 Quote from: dsiders on August 09, 2022, 07:42:07 pmBecause, if that were truly a copy and paste, the colon would not be missing in the URL. But still would be 404, you moved from github to gitlab
