Which DB to use and which DB-components for connection & usage (web
based DB)

Because of my hosting supports MySQL databases and PostgreSQL
databases, I need advices about :
1. to use MySQL database or to use PostgreSQL database ?
2. which DB-components available on LCL  for connection & SELECT,
INSERT, UPDATE ... ?

I've used PostgreSQL for the last 20+ years with Delphi and latterly
Lazarus, and found the internal components adequate.

I may be will use MySQL, because I have already a MySQL database
created on my Hosting.

Do you think it is a good idea to use components :
TMySQL57Connection because the hosting MySQL server version is 5.7.37
TSQLTransaction
TSQLQuery
TSQLScript

TDataSource -
 - TDBGrid
 - TDBEdit
 - ........?

I'd probably rather go with TSQLConnector, and then just include
TMySQL57Connection, TMySQL80Connection and TPQConnection in the Uses-
clause.
That way you could prepare yourself for any of those DBMS
SQL-Dialect has to be provided for each

Well, if you want to connect from your local machine to somewhere
else, the MySQL-Client-Library must be installed on your local (dev-)
machine

Does your hosting actually allow external access to the database or is
it a webhosting only database ?

(sometimes you can still get access via a SSH tunnel)

My hosting does allow external access to the database.
