i just installed zeos on lazarus on linux mint device, and created
database in phpmyadmin. when I enable Zquery to true, an error like
this occurs

does anyone know why this is happening, did I write the
LibraryLocation address wrong on ZConnection?

the client library for mysql/mariadb is libmysql.so(.dll) or
libmariadb.so(.dll).
Possible that of these libraries depends on other library.
  1. check if you installed mysqlclient library or mariadbclient
library.
  2. check the architecture ( 32 or 64 bit) .

i have installed mysql but i can't find the file named libmysql.so i
just found the file libmysqlclient.so and libmysqlclient.so.21, then i
try to point my ZConnection LibraryLocation to where the
libmysqlclient.so file is, then i get an error message like this

"SQL Error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)"
