[ubuntu 20.04] help with debugger issue

hello, I got a question about the Lazarus debugger - i'm on an ubuntu
machine (20.04) just installed FPC compiler and Lazarus - now when i
run with debugging a GUI application it works as expected but when i
try to run a console program with the debugger i don't see the
terminal and the running of the program is hidden (the debugger works
as i can see it's following the var values etc..) the only way to see
the terminal with the app program is to set the debugger to none in
the option - why and what am i doing wrong?
any help/suggestion will be appreciated

hello - i see now that lazarus has a build-in internal
console/terminal

under "view -> windows debug -> console in/output "

looks like the mystery is solved
