How can I step in into fcl code?

Let's take for instance TRegistry.Create: I cannot step in using F7
and I also cannot put a breakpoint inside registry.pp, the file which
the IDE opens when I click Find Declaration. I'm trying this under
Windows 7 running the official win32 build of Lazarus 1.6.2.

You need to rebuild fpc with debug info for that AFAIK.
