Debugger: How to step-by-step execute? lazarus / 12-Debugger ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2014-12-14 13:17 My app has a infinite loop somewhere and I have a breakpoint in a line. The app executes until that. So I would like to continue executing step-by-step until I can find the loop. How to do so? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Cyrax · 2014-12-14 13:26 Recent revision of Lazarus SVN trunk allows debugger to attach to running program. Simply run your app outside of your IDE (debugger) and when you notice it going to infinite loop, use Run->Attach to program menu item.  Mind you that you need to have your app project open in IDE and with correct debug info compiled in. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2014-12-14 13:56 why not run the app, until it hangs. Then press the pause button, and see where the execution is? You may have to use the thread window, if there are more tan one thread, and you may have to step out of the current procedure, if there are procedures called inside the loop ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2014-12-14 15:04 This worked. Thanks.
