Silly number of files open in the editor after debugging. lazarus / 12-Debugger ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Makke · 2014-04-29 16:34 Hi. Lazarus newbie here. Ex Delphi user. While stepping into and over the code with F7 and F8 i often end up having silly number of  files open in the editor. I trust that the stuff/libraries/etc that came with Lazarus/fpc  is ok code, and i really only want to play with my *own* code. So having "ComCtrls" or similar open automatically is something that i don't need. And when needed i can open these "ComCtrls" files with right click+Find Declaration. Can this helpful thingy be avoided somehow - other than being really careful with F7 and F8? Before debugging, save your project, and session (should happen automatically, because it gets compiled, but I am nnot sure it will include the session / Menu > project > SAve project / or toolbuutton save all). Then after debugging, reopen the project (first project in recent list / Project menu), of course save any changed files first (but just the files, do not save all). Then it restores the session. Yeah I know would be nice if there were dedicated ways to keep various sessions ... but now thats all there is.
