Some plans for improve the debugger?

I think that our GDB is not some kind of "fabulous debugger" for Free
Pascal - Lazarus, and I would like to know if there is some plan for
improve it or develop some new.

There are attempts to write a debugger in FPC, see the Lazarus source
code. It's unfinished.

Don't know about plans.... but if you're interested in contributing
patches to gdb to improve its Pascal support, I'm sure your
contributions would be very welcome!

It's good to know that there are people trying.

I think it's better doing a new debugger specific for FPC and finally
abandon the GDB (leave it for C++).

Does anybody know how Delphi debugger works? Does it use something
like DWARF or STABS?

No, own format called "TD32".
