Missing mingw folder lazarus / 12-Debugger ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dewald_meyer · 2013-06-24 08:18 Good day I'm brand new to Lazarus and free pascal. We are using ver 0.9.31 at work. According to the following url I need to point the debugger to c:\Lazarus\mingw. The problem is the (mingw) folder does not exist in the path. http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Debugger_Setup However I've compiled an existing project, and it compiles perfectly. Please would anyone be so kind to shed some light on why the mingw folder is missing and where I can download it. Or should I delete Lazarus completely and re-download and compile it ? Thank you Have a nice day ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2013-06-24 12:06 QuoteI'm brand new to Lazarus and free pascal. Last time I know Windows 64-bit installer doesn't contain any debugger due to its limitation on 64-bit platforms. I still use 32-bit OSes and it seems to work fine (I can debug normally). QuoteHowever I've compiled an existing project, and it compiles perfectly.Compiler and debugger are not related, in fact the debugger is a 3rd party program. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2013-06-24 12:15 win 64 should be shipped with gdb. if not please create a bug ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2013-06-24 12:17 I checked my 1.0.10 install (64 bit) has a gdb in mingw folder ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2013-06-24 12:25 QuoteI checked my 1.0.10 install (64 bit) has a gdb in mingw folderLooks like due to his ancient 0.9.31 version
