Debugger error

Hello all

I use the latest svn of lazarus and fpc on Mandriva linux. For the
last couple of weeks ( not sure how long exactly, I have been on
holiday )  when debugging, whenever the debugger hits a breakpoint a
dialogue appears saying the debugger experienced an unknown condition.

The text of the dialogue is as follows

QuotePress "Ignore" to continue debugging. This may NOT be safe. Press
"Abort" to stop the debugger.
Exception: ERangeError with message "Range check error"
Context: TGDBMIDebuggerCommandDisassembe. State: Pause

It looks like that is in a statement that writes info to a logfile.

A week or 2 ago, that function was changed, so it is no longer called
(unless you compile with defines, or add --debug-enable=... to the
command line.

So if you go to todays 1.1 snapshot (NOT 0.9.31) then that should be
fine.

Anyway, to you have a 32 or 64 bit System?

Hi

I am a 32 bit system. Lazarus is built with gtk2. I run lazarus with
the command line
Quote/home/tim/misc/lazdev/startlazarus   --primary-config-
path=~/.lazarus2 --debug-log=/home/tim/lazarus.log
I tried it without the " --debug-log=/home/tim/lazarus.log " bit but
the dialogue still appears.

The build parameters are -gw -gl -godwarfsets -gh -gt -Co -Cr -Ci -Sa
-dDebug -dVerbose
and the check boxes for debug and verbose are selected ( all in the
"Configure Build Lazarus" dialogue ).

I unchecked the debug and verbose check boxes but that made no
difference.

Compiled lazarus with normal IDE profile and the dialogue no longer
appears  .
Should I report a bug as the dialogue appears with debug IDE profile?

I disabled the range checks for that line
