Free Pascal 2.6.0 debugger lazarus / 12-Debugger ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thanhbuu · 2012-04-14 12:25 In the previous released, I was able the use Ctrl+Break when it took long time to run and it escaped from running (but not from compiler) right away. However, in 2.6.0 it escapes from the compilers too, can anyone suggest any solution. Thank you! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JuhaManninen · 2012-04-14 17:10 Quote from: thanhbuu on April 14, 2012, 02:25:10 pmIn the previous released, I was able the use Ctrl+Break when it took long time to run and it escaped from running (but not from compiler) right away. Juha ---------------------------------------------------------------------- eny · 2012-04-14 17:18 Sounds like a console program where Ctrl-Break actually could have an effect. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thanhbuu · 2012-04-15 02:47 In the 2.2.4, if we write this code     while 1<>0 do begin end;   As you can see, the program will run forever and can be stop (without exit Free Pascal) by pressing Ctrl+Break But in 2.6.0, when we press Ctrl+break, Free Pascal will exit right away. How can we prevent exiting FPC like this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JuhaManninen · 2012-04-15 10:46 Quote from: thanhbuu on April 15, 2012, 04:47:40 amIn the 2.2.4, if we write this code     while 1<>0 do begin end;   As you can see, the program will run forever and can be stop (without exit Free Pascal) by pressing Ctrl+Break But in 2.6.0, when we press Ctrl+break, Free Pascal will exit right away. How can we prevent exiting FPC like this? FPC compiler is not running any more when you run your program. Do you mean Ctrl+break exits GDB debugger? Or do you mean it exits Lazarus when you started the program from it? Or, do you mean you run your program from cmd line and it stops running after Ctrl+break? In that case what is your OS? Juha ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thanhbuu · 2012-04-15 11:16 I mean "Ctrl+break exits GDB debugger" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2012-04-15 11:43 Are you talking about the Lazarus IDE? Or are you talking about the FPC textmode IDE? Or are you running gdb yourself, outside any IDE? Which OS? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thanhbuu · 2012-04-15 12:45 It's FPC textmode IDE ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-04-15 13:59 Don't use that, but specifying operating system as Martin asked may be helpful as wel... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2012-04-15 14:06 Unfortunately don't know anything about the fpc ide. You may want to try the fpc mailing list. There will be a bigger audience there. Though there may be a few here, if you can change the subject, so the msg gets noted by them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thanhbuu · 2012-04-15 14:16 thank you ^^
