Project Project1 raised exception class 'External:?' lazarus / 12-Debugger ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ichaslam · 2011-04-22 21:37 Version Windows 32 bit v0.9.30 Antivirus - Kaslersky Internet Security and PC Tools Operation system Wondows 7 64 bit Home Premium. Installed the program and tried to run the default form. The programme comes up with the above error. Tried to google the error and although mine is not listed it seems to be associated with the AV programme. If it has some kind of game-mode, you may give that a try anyway. Or if it can be temporarily disabled. There may be a number of reasons. To help identify the issue, please: - Reset the debugger (Menu "run") - open from the "view" menu: "debug windows" => "debug output" Once the window is open, run your app until the error occurs. Copy the content of the window, zip and attach it. Please also check the settings in your "project options", on the "linking" page. What debug settings are checked? -g / -gl / -gw ? --- and if you had a different lazarus verison installed before (0.9.28, or 64 bit version), the check the "Options" / "debugger" to see which gdb is configured. And ensure it is the one that came with the 0.9.30 32 bit Lazarus (GDB 7.2 / 32 bit) So you may test with the 64 bit gdb too. I followed your instructions and found the error. I had been playing with the 64 bit version and the debugger was still pointed to the 64bit debugger. Once I pointed it to the 32bit debugger the error went away. The app created runs but at 12Mb which I link is rather excessive for a simple blank form.
