Remote Debugging from WinXP to Linux lazarus / 12-Debugger ---------------------------------------------------------------------- vad74 · 2010-07-01 23:05 I need to write programm for Linux on PC with WinXP. For do it I setup Lazarus from http://www.pilotlogic.com/sitejoom/index.php?option=com_c ontent&view=article&id=96&Itemid=148. I readed http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Remote_Debugging. I setup SSH server on remote Linux PC. I setup SSH client on my WinXP host. And I can login to remote PC without password, in terminal. In Lazarus (v0.9.29) In Options I set DebuggerType to GNU debuger through SSH. Then I try to set correct DebuggerPath, and set C:\OpenSSH\bin\ssh.exe admin@192.0.0.30 /usr/bin/gdbserver. Where, C:\OpenSSH\bin\ssh.exe - is host SSH client, admin - username on target, 192.0.0.30 - target IP, /usr/bin/gdbserver - is full path to gdbserver on target. But Lazarus always show error "The debugger file C:\OpenSSH\bin\ssh.exe admin@192.0.0.30 /usr/bin/gdbserver is not an executable". What is wrong? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2010-07-06 08:37 This is a known issue. The ssh debugger used to work, until someone added some extra tests, ignoring how the ssh debugger is invoked. This needs to be fixed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- vad74 · 2010-08-30 11:06 Can I use Telnet for Remote Debugging instead SSH? And how it did? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2010-09-01 14:23 telnet wont help in this case ---------------------------------------------------------------------- vad74 · 2010-09-03 05:53 What and How need set in Lazarus for it? Where I can read about it (Lazarus +Telnet)? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2010-09-03 14:49 won't help -> that doesn't work. so no you cannot set it up
