Nothing appears when debugging

Could someone here help me solve this?

I cannot see anything when running a program from within the IDE, be
it TUI- or GUI-based.  No errors were emitted and the program runs
fine from outside the IDE.

I'm using Lazarus 0.9.29 beta on Windows 7 x64.

Try to disable the debugger: Options -> Debugger -> Debugger Type... =
none.
If this works, try to find out why the debugger doesn't work. ;-)

Thanks.  My program now runs normally from within the IDE, ... without
a debugger.

I don’t know why the debugger wouldn’t work, though.  :p

Anyway, I do remember I was able to debug my programs from within the
IDE under Win64.  But I’m not sure if I was using a 64-bit version of
Lazarus.

And, being a newbie, reported it on
http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,7403.0.html instead
of here... Down that thread I mention that the problem seems to start
when trying to "Use external gdb debug symbols file", and it doesn't
go away when that checkbox is cleared.
