Unix like line ending in Win32 based Lazarus lazarus / 12-Debugger ---------------------------------------------------------------------- iru · 2009-08-20 03:47 I am having troubles with GDB (WinCE) and accessing the correct line numbers in pascal files. GDB documentation suggests that lines should be terminated with a LF (line feed) ONLY  rather than the CR-LF used in DOS/Windows. All my files are created by Lazarus and all lines are terminated by CR-LF. Is there a setting in the Lazarus IDE and editor that produce LF terminated lines???? There are tools available to strip CR from files, good for a one-off conversion but not good for a compile-run-debug environment. if I cannot generate lines terminated with a LF only how do I use GDB correctly with lazarus???? Not that I know. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- iru · 2009-08-20 11:51 Ok, If I cannot generate "Unix like" line endings in the Lazarus how do I use GDB in a meaningfull way, correct line numbers, etc...... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- iru · 2009-08-26 03:08 A little more on the topic. I wrote a small program which stripped the CR from each line of a .pas file. File displayed OK in the IDE. When I inspected the .pas file each line was terminated by a CR-LF pair again. Lazarus strikes again. GDB continues to missmatch on line numbers. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2014-12-16 14:03 Quote from: iru on August 20, 2009, 05:47:56 amI am having troubles with GDB (WinCE) and accessing the correct line numbers in pascal files. It's possible that win32 GDB was fixed for this, and the wince one not. Not much options other than adapting lazarus to do the same. (or to patch gdb for wince, but I assume that is worse) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2014-12-16 14:04 Quote from: deOmair on December 16, 2014, 01:23:58 pmMay be because it's not stable....
