how use the debug

Hi, I am a newbie on lazarus, and I have many problems in debug a
little test program under linux.

I compiled the program including debugger info for gdb, gdb is setted
and also his path under debugger option.

In the ide I seted some breakpoint, then push  the run button, the
application start and executes without any stop.

There is some tutorial or manual on the use of debug?

Ok now the debug work, was not setted correctly.

Hi, sorry newbie tooo !!

I ran in the same problem, i set the basic gdb options, but debugger
never stop..., the breakpoint is a ? (questionmark) when set and a X
when i run program.

Could you please explain me what did you do to get gdb working ?

Sorry for the late response.

You olny need in the menu evironmet->debugger otion
set the correct path to your gdb.exe deugger yhat should be in
/lazarus/mingw/bin directory.

and then under the menu Project->compiler option

in the dialog in the linker tab, you must chek the generate debugger
information.

then build all
And now you should be good.
