Option [Show single button in Taskbar] lazarus / 11-Options ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Groffy · 2015-05-07 06:15 Hello, this option seems not to be available under Win7 independly from widgetset(?) Its working under Linux Mint -KDE.  Best regards ---------------------------------------------------------------------- codemonk · 2015-11-01 05:50 Sorry to bump an old thead, but I'm having a similar problem. Running Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 64 bit Lazurus 1.4.4 As JuhaManninen told me in another thread (My hello thread), I've got the "Show single button in taskbar" checked, but this is what my taskbar look like: (Attached). I've tried restarting Lazurus via the restart menu item, exiting then restarting it the normal way to no avail. If I minimize it, all the other Lazurus windows minimize as well, but clicking on the Lazurus icon on the taskbar only brings up the main UI, I have to click on each individual window (Message, Object Inspector, etc.) in the taskbar to bring them back up. Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JuhaManninen · 2015-11-01 10:27 Quote from: codemonk on November 01, 2015, 06:50:44 amSorry to bump an old thead, but I'm having a similar problem. Running Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 64 bit Lazurus 1.4.4 Apparently it is not a similar problem. For Groffy "it's working under Linux Mint -KDE". Windows always shows one button, thus the option is disabled (IIRC). How did it behave in your Windows? It must be related to Cinnamon. The support may be improved in Lazarus trunk (development version) but I am not sure. Just guessing. I am currently running XFCE and it works well. You can also build the IDE with QT bindings. Just copy the lib to /usr/local/lib and select QT widgetset.   http://users.telenet.be/Jan.Van.hijfte/qtforfpc/fpcqt4.html More info:   http://wiki.freepascal.org/Qt4_binding ---------------------------------------------------------------------- codemonk · 2015-11-02 02:26 Quote from: JuhaManninen on November 01, 2015, 11:27:59 amQuote from: codemonk on November 01, 2015, 06:50:44 amSorry to bump an old thead, but I'm having a similar problem. I've never tried Lazurus under Windows. I'll look into the QT bindings as well as your other suggestions. Running Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 64 bit Lazurus 1.4.4 I have the same problem on Ubuntu 15.10 64 bit with Cinnamon Hi, Mario ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Abelisto · 2015-11-06 19:32 Is there any fixes about this issue? It is painful to have 5-6-7-more buttons at the taskbar. My investigations of sources was finished at 'Application.TaskBarBehavior := tbSingleButton' line. May be I will continue it but I am not sure. In any case many thanks for FPC/Lazarus - that's great! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JuhaManninen · 2015-11-06 20:35 Quote from: bonmario on November 02, 2015, 07:43:43 amI have the same problem on Ubuntu 15.10 64 bit with Cinnamon Somebody could open a bug report about it, but first make sure it is related to Cinnamon and also test with both GTK2 and QT. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zoran · 2016-01-08 07:08 Take a look at the hint of "Show single button in TaskBar" checkbox (see attached picture). It says "... Some Linux Windows Managers like Cinnamon do not support this...". So, it is documented, at least in the hint, that it does not work in Cinnamon.
