IDE menus and other Lazarus windows are too big and bold

I have installed Lazarus on my Kubuntu 14 Linux box.
The IDE is really appealing but there is something a bit annoying:
Menus fonts and other windows are too big and bold.
I have read other comments on the issue and I am not the onlyu only
one.
I have trie rebuiding, searching for options/settings but nothing.
How can I change to default system settings or customize it?

I had been changing KDE Themes but none of them gave good results.
But fine tuning font DPI and size did the trick.
