slow redraws with 300+ dbedits on form

Hello,

I am using Lazarus v1.0.2 with FPC 2.6.0 on Windows 7 64bit.

I am working on a form that has over 300 dbEdit components visible.
When I select multiple components in the form designer and drag them
around the redrawing is very slow. Slow enough that it's almost
impossible to arrange the components the way I wish.

Are there any suggestions for speeding up the drawing, or am I just
dumping too many components on a single form?

You are doing way to many...

But from menu: environment/options choose page "Form Editor" and look
for a checkbox "Reduce Designer painting". Maybe ...

300+ DbEdits!   Do you need that many? Is there no way to reduce that
by grouping DBEdits by category onto different forms and than maybe
moving between the forms using a TreeView control?

Thanks for the suggestions.

I wasn't able to find anyway to speed up the process, so I've moved on
to a different way of viewing the data. With fewer controls on the
form, it runs much smoother.
