Missed directories after installing Lazarus lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pascal111 · 2021-01-10 23:04 I installed Lazarus Free Pascal to try and figure out it, but when I ran it I found a problem that a configure window of Lazarus searching for "rtl" directory and don't find it, also a "fpcsrc" directory "/usr/share/fpcsrc/3.0.4/" was mentioned and I searched for it and I didn't find it at that mentioned location. I installed Lazarus by command mentioned in this page: https://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Install_on_Ubuntu Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i apt-get install lazarus  My OS is Linux Mint ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2021-01-11 00:00 I don't know, but try Code: Text  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i apt-get install fpcapt-get install fpc-src ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pascal111 · 2021-01-11 10:28 Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i apt-get install fpc works and lazarus-ide works now. For Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i apt-get install fpc-src I have this message from terminal: QuoteReading package lists... I haven't tested seriously but recent versions seem okay to me, I'm using Ubuntu Mate 20.04 and Lazarus 2.0.10. Do you use Ubuntu? If yes, I believe it should be easier for you to install Lazarus from deb files. On the wiki page you mentioned on the first post, there you can find the link to Install on Ubuntu from .deb files. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MarkMLl · 2021-01-11 13:59 Quote from: pascal111 on January 11, 2021, 11:28:54 amPackage fpc-src is not available, but is referred to by another package. I'm not saying it's /the/ answer in the current case but that fixes a substantial proportion of that type of problem. But that shouldn't be needed: installing Lazarus should have pulled also all the needed dependencies, including the compiler and its sources. Anyway, Handoko is right: you'll be better off downloading and installing (e.g. using GDebi) the official packages from  lazarus- ide.org; if nothing else you'll at tleast get the latest releases of everything. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MarkMLl · 2021-01-11 15:24 Quote from: lucamar on January 11, 2021, 03:32:22 pmWhat that is basically telling you is that the package is not named: fpc-src but fpc-source, Definitely worth checking with  apt-cache search -n fpc  in that case.
