i am just wondering why rawbytestring is not supported by pascal

Anyway PascalScript was never meant to support any and all
functionality of compiled Pascal.
PascalScript is also much, much older than RawByteString... and
AnsiString centered,

Well, with casts it is, but why do you want to use legacy anyway?
Unless you have very old software you made a very bad choice in
libraries.

Indy or Synapse are alright but for simplicity you can use fcl-web.
It's, unfortunately, not well documented but there are some pages in
the wiki for it.
