[SOLVED] Compiling Lazarus fails: lazdebuggergdbmi.pas not found lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- styxxx · 2016-11-17 16:34 Hi, I can't recompile Lazarus. I get the error message, that "/build/lazarus-L5xvNn/lazarus- 1.6+dfsg/components/lazdebuggergdbmi/lazdebuggergdbmi.pas" cannot be found. I already tried purging the whole installation an reinstalling lazarus and fpc. And ist still occurs. I'm using debian testing. Lazarus verstion is: 1.6+dfsg-4 fpc is: 3.0.0+dfsg-9 Since I purged evertyhing the installation is "fresh". Besides that I encountered strange errors: When compiling random errors are found that aren't existent. For example in a code thats 6 years old there's suddenly an error message "identifier expected but 'type' found" where there is no error and the IDE doesn't find one when checking the syntax (and yes, the files haven't changed for years I checked it with diff).  Maybe it's related for some reason, that's why I mention it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ecrypt · 2016-11-17 17:12 You need to download and install all three packages fpc, fpc-src and lazarus. https://sourceforge.net/projects/lazarus/files/Lazarus%20Linux%20amd64 %20DEB/Lazarus%201.6.2/ and you must completed install all packages dependencies for Lazarus. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2016-11-17 17:23 How do you build? make? or Tools/Build ? Check if the file actually exists. If not the package is incomplete. However this is an automatically created file, you can try adding the package to the ide/lazarus.lpi project. Maybe that helps. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- styxxx · 2016-11-17 19:48 Quote from: ecrypt on November 17, 2016, 06:12:50 pmYou need to download and install all three packages fpc, fpc-src and lazarus. https://sourceforge.net/projects/lazarus/files/Lazarus%20Linux%20amd64 %20DEB/Lazarus%201.6.2/ and you must completed install all packages dependencies for Lazarus. Hi, that worked. I always relied on the repository. Seems the lazarus version there might have a bug? I compiled lazarus via gui. Thank you
