Ubuntu 16.04 LTS cannot install fpc-src_3.0.0-151205_amd64.deb

I am running on a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS desktop.
fpc_3.0.0-151205_amd64.deb and lazarus_1.6-0_amd64.deb install
correctly. When I try to install fpc-src_3.0.0-151205_amd64.deb, I
never get the dialog for authorization and the icon in the launcher
shows "Waiting to Install".  

Any suggestions? Your response will be greatly appreciated.

What is weird is that fpc-src did install, but the Ubuntu Software
Icon in the launcher never closed and still said "Waiting to Install".
I think the reason it did not ask for a password was that I had just
finished installing the fpc package.

So, to sum it up, I am up and running.
