Testing the compiler fails on fedora 23 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Jackr · 2016-04-01 14:22 Hi, I succefully Installed the fpc version 3.0.0 from the repo fpc-3.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm downloaded on sourceforge. For, I used the "Yumex-dnf" app on fedora 23 with the linux kernel 4.4.6-300.fc23.x86_64. Unfortunnatelly, testing the compiler with the file hello.pp gives the following result: Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i > fpc helloFatal: Can t find unit system used by Hello_worldFatal: Compilation abortedError: /usr/bin/ppcx64 returned an error exitcode Then, I tried this other command as indicated in the documentation to test the compiler: Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i > fpc -Fu/usr/lib64/fpc/3.0.0/units/x86_64-linux/rtl hellohello.pp(25,6) Fatal: Can t find unit Interfaces used by Hello_worldFatal: Compilation abortedError: /usr/bin/ppcx64 returned an error exitcode> Thus, the test fails. How to solve this problem? Jackr ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2016-04-01 15:41 The first case, create a /etc/fpc.cfg  or ~/.fpc.cfg with the proper compiler config in it (this includes the -Fu line). The second is missing unit Interfaces which is part of Lazarus' LCL, not FPC proper. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Jackr · 2016-04-01 20:59 Hi marcov, It works fine! Many thanks! Jackr
