Lazarus always ran fine here. From what you showed, it seems Lazarus is running, you just can't see it. Maybe it is displayed on a virtual desktop (off screen)? Try the following: * Remove the Lazarus profile directory. Normally located at $HOME/.lazarus/ - remove it completely or move it somewhere else. * From a terminal window, change to the actual Lazarus directory and run the "lazarus" executable directly (skipping startlazarus).  eg: cd /data/lazarus;  ./lazarus See what that does. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2015-12-31 12:28 The classic mistake is to SU to do the installation, and then continue as root to run (start)lazarus. Since X runs under the logged in user's credentials, there is no X then, which gives these kinds of errors.
