Numerous linking errors on trying to run a project lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dais · 2015-07-14 15:08 Hello! I tried to install Lazarus 1.2.4 on my new Linux Mint Debian 2 Betsy from Synaptic. For a first start it started with no items on a main panel, so I installed lcl libraries. Then it started, but when I tried to run a project, it showed me messages, that /usr/bi/ld.bfd cannot find -lgdk-pixbuff-2.0, -lgdk-x11-2.0... and some other. I made some reserch, found and installed libgdk-2.0. So, at this point only 2 things it cannot find - -lgdk-x11-2.0 and -lgtk-x11-2.0 I reserched and found, that there are some two libs, /usr/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0 and /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0. According to other posts here, those two are responsible for -lgdk-x11-2.0 and -lgtk-x11-2.0. But I don't know what to do, to fix a situation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ocye · 2015-07-15 10:40 You need the *dev versions of those libraries. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dais · 2015-07-15 14:17 Ok, but I can not find in Synaptic any of libgdk-x11-2.0-dev or libgtk-x11-2.0-dev, apt-get returned me, that there is nothing found in repositories. I'm stuck. On my other installation of Linux Mint 13 LXDE unofficial, Lazarus 0.9.* installed from repositories with no any pain. All works. So, do you know, where to find those libs? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ocye · 2015-07-16 12:12 Sorry, I'm on Arch Linux. You could ask at the forum of your distribution for an advice. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2015-07-16 12:55 It might be just "-2" -dev instead of -2.0. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2015-07-17 17:48 Quote from: dais on July 15, 2015, 04:17:48 pmOn my other installation of Linux Mint 13 LXDE unofficial, Lazarus 0.9.* installed from repositories with no any pain. Then why don't you see what the packages there depends on, there should be those -dev packages listed, whatever their name is. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dais · 2015-07-17 18:04 I'll be nearby my Lazarus 0.9... only at saturday... and I've kinda solved my problem by installing all libs, that has something to do with x11, dev and gtk.
