Tabs and components desapear when try to install a component

HI,
I'm using a laz 1.2.4 on linux opensuse
Well, when I install a package (uniqueinstance and epicktimer), a lot
of tabs and components desapear from the pallet..
I try to run it at root user and it's install and work great, but only
for root !  

Why ?

Are you sure you are not on a datamodule?  When you have a datamodule
selected it only shows components that can go on a datamodule.
